Rose Slone Dingus

Rose Slone Dingus, 95 of Martin, KY, passed away January 11, 2026 at Prestonsburg Health Care. Born May 18, 1930 in Knott Co., she was the daughter of the late Silas & Elizabeth "Nanny" Gibson Slone. Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Reynolds James Dingus. She was a homemaker. Rose is survived by two daughters: Ruth Prater of Prestonsburg, KY and Lesia Dingus of Martin, KY; grandchildren: Ronnie Prater, Ruby Smith, Tonya Gayheart, Sandy Prater, Latosha Dingus, Nathaniel Dingus & Seth Dingus; one sister: Yvonne Burton; 2 great grandchildren & 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents & husband, Rose was preceded in death by one son: James Douglas Dingus; one son in law: Bill Prater; brothers & sisters: Farris Slone, Daff Slone, Irton Slone, Cash Slone, Breman Slone, Jeff Slone,
Graden Slone, Sadie Alafita, Lealie Caudill, Lola Caudill, Ocie Caudill, Daily Robinson, Ora Thornsberry & Bernice Viock. Rose will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
Visitation after 6pm Thursday (January 15, 2026) and all day Friday (January 16, 2026) at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin
Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday (January 17, 2026) at the funeral home with Nathan Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow in the Slone Cemetery (Hollybush) Pippa Passes, KY
