Rose Walker Dowling

Rose Walker was born on July 4, 1924, in Blackville, SC to the late Manleen Walker and Roosevelt Walker. She grew up in a very loving and caring home. She met the love of her life and married at an early age to Lockwood Dowling. To this union, she bore 4 children.
She worked as a cook for Marriott. In addition to cooking, she enjoyed watching cowboy and western movies. She loved all types of fruit and fish. She loved going to church and praising God. She loved Morningstar and her pastor, Pastor Ingram and Deacon Frankman. He would bring her fish all the time. She served at Morningstar for many years. Rose loved her husband, children, and family very much.
She departed this life on March 3, 2022. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lockwood Dowling; her parents, Manleen Walker and Rosevelt Walker; siblings, and 2 sons; James Dowling and Lockwood Dowling Jr.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters; Annie Mae Dowling Roske, and Georgia Mae (Mizel) Brown; 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 15 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
Public visitation for Rose Dowling will take place on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL. Funeral services will convene on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Fort Pierce, FL beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
