Rose Dyals Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Music Funeral Home - Waycross on Jan. 21, 2026.
Mrs. Rose "Marie" Deal Dyals, 84, walked into the arms of Jesus Tuesday evening (January 20, 2026) at Hospice House Satilla surrounded by family and friends. She was lovingly known as 'Sister" by those closest to her.

Marie was born October 17, 1941 in Waycross, GA to the late Roy Lenton Deal, Sr. and Roselyn Barrow Deal. She was a lifelong resident of Ware County and a graduate of Waycross High School. She retired from Ware County Department of Family and Children's Services after many years of service. As an Adult Protective Service worker she not only succeeded in doing her job well but genuinely cared and supported those she served. She was a long time member of Jamestown Baptist Church.

Marie had a vivacious personality and enjoyed making people happy. She was the 'Life of the Party" wherever she went. She loved to cook and bake whether preparing a meal or baking 'Goodies' for her family and friends. Her kitchen was her 'Happy Place!' She was a fan of all things Red. Red cars, red clothes, red flowers and red lipstick. She had a passion for red geraniums and could hardly wait for spring to cover her porches with them. She enjoyed countless hours of planning, preparing and hosting family events, wedding and baby showers.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Loyd "Walker" Dyals; and a brother, Roy Lenton Deal, Jr..

She is survived by her two children, Christopher Walker Dyals (Janna) of Guyton, GA and Ginger Dyals Simonin (late Richard) of Waycross, GA; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jared Simonin (Meghan) and Iley and Will, Shelby Cook (David) and Blaire, Tucker, and Kennedy, Kolby Simonin (Karly) and Preslee, Ashby Simonin (Emma Chafin), Lindsay Bach (Brett) and Clara, Juliana, and Barrett, Zachary Dyals (Lana) and Grant, Elsie, and Walker, and Bethany Spivey (Cole) and Silas; her five siblings, Thomas Cleveland "Andy" Deal (Ann) of Valdosta, GA, Donna Lee Dyal (Carroll) of Sandston, VA, Dana Mark Deal (Laura) of Patterson, GA, Jon Phillip Deal (Jamie) of Valdosta, GA, and Tamara D. Stephens (John) of Waycross, GA; a sister-in-law, Mary Deal of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM Saturday (January 24, 2026) at Jamestown Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will begin receiving friends at 2:00 PM at the church.

Expressions of sympathy may be expressed by posting to her tribute wall at www.musicfuneralhome.com.
