Rose Hill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Schneider Funeral Home - Hatboro on Feb. 19, 2025.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our nurturing and warm-hearted mom,
grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend, Rose V. Hill, on February 15, 2025. Rose lived at
Ann's Choice for nearly 20 years with her beloved husband, Paul C. Hill, with whom she shared
almost 80 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in 1928,in Ivyland, PA, Rose held a deep connection to her roots; from her apartment at
Ann's Choice, she could see the house where she grew up. Her parents immigrated from Italy in
1910, and she was the second youngest of eight siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.
Rose began her career as a secretary at Johnsville Naval Base and later concluded her
professional journey as the secretary to the superintendent at the Centennial School District.
She was the proud mother of two children, Terry Hill, married to Pat (Henry ) Hill, and Paula C. Hill.
Rose cherished her role as a grandmother to Megan (Hill) Chadwick, who is married to Dan
Chadwick, and Morgan Hill, who is married to Amanda Telford Hill. Her legacy continues through
her four great-grandchildren: Saige Chadwick, Alice Chadwick, Liam Hill, and Ethan Hill. Rose
loved her family more than life itself and had a positive perspective on life.
Throughout the years, Rose was actively involved in her community, participating in Eastern Star
and the Slipper Club. She generously volunteered at Abington Hospital and Ann's Choice and was
a devoted member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Southampton.
Rose's hobbies were as vibrant as her spirit. She was an accomplished knitter, crocheter, and
seamstress. Over the years, she knit 400 pairs of baby booties for Lancaster General Hospital and
created beautiful crocheted coasters that found their way into homes around the world. Rose's
crocheted mice brought joy to many cat owners, and her handmade walker bags provided comfort
to residents at Ann's Choice. An avid reader, she also enjoyed putting together puzzles and
playing daily games like Wordle and Sudoku. She enjoyed playing Euchre with friends each week.
In her earlier years, she traveled and camped. Remarkably, even at 96 years of age, she mastered
the computer, iPhone, and iPad. She also had a green thumb for orchids.
Arrangements for Rose will be handled privately under the direction of the Schneider Funeral
Home, Hatboro, PA. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ann's Choice Chapel on Saturday, March
1, 2025. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, with a service at 11:00AM. Following the service there will
be a luncheon at VE German Club, 130 Davisville Road, Warminster, PA.
In lieu of flowers, Rose's family ask that you consider a memorial contribution in her name to
Ann's Choice Benevolent Care Fund.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Rose for her kindness, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and community.
She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts.

I was so upset when I picked up the Cubby Chronicle today( Feb. 24). I just can´t believe it. I met Rose while I was a care giver right across the hall from your dad´s room at Chestnut Ridge. Rose was such a sweet person always glad to see me as I her. I would always look for her in the Fireside dining room at dinner time. Please know my prayers are with her family. I am so sorry I have to take my granddaughter to New York on Saturday morning and will be unable to attend her service.
Sincerely,
Barbara Sladek

I will always miss talking to Aunt Rose (Loved her accent) and her posts on Facebook. I stayed with her and Uncle Paul during the 1996 MLB All-Star Game. I had a great time talking and laughing. I learned allot from her about our family. She was beautiful person with a great soul. I loved so much.
