Rose C. King

Rose C. King, 90, of Newington, beloved wife of 70 years to William King, passed away surrounded by family on Friday, October 31, 2025. She was born in Newington on April 29, 1935 to the late Vito and Antoinette (Giannini) Arre and lived there her entire life.
Rose worked for the Town of Newington as an Administrative assistant until her retirement. She loved to cook, shop and vacation on the islands. She was well known for always being dressed to perfection. She cherished time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Sharon Genzlinger and her husband Glenn of Hebron; her son Scott King and wife Lynda of Newington; her beloved grandchildren Mark Genzlinger and wife Jessica of Glastonbury and Kelly Watrous and husband Eric of Marlborough; her adored great-grandchildren Leah and Kaylee Genzlinger and Natalie and Walter Watrous. She was predeceased by her sisters, Jean Oberstadt, Lil Miller, Grace Arre, and Lucille Giantionio; and her brother Steve Arre.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday November 5, 2025 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (service at 11:30 ) at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave, Newington, CT 06111.
