Rose Nelson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Edwards and Son Funeral Home, Inc. - Bridgeton on Dec. 10, 2025.
Rose Ann Nelson, 71, peacefully passed away on December 5. 2025. at Inspira Medical Center Vineland. Her life was a testament to love and kindness, and she will be missed dearly.

Rose was born on April 6. 1954. in Bridgeton, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Willie Pear Matthews and Samuel James Worthv. She grew up in Bridgeton, NJ. In 1978. at the age of 24, she married the father of her youngest son, Oscar Nelson, who also predeceased.

Rose was known for her love, laughter, kindness, and generosity. She found joy in cooking, shopping, and watching Food Network, HGTV, and court shows, especially Judge Judy. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, too. Rose was the ultimate "Ms. Fix It"; she could repair anything, from a hole in the wall to a lamp on the table. If it needed fixing, she was likely to handle it. Anybody who knew Rose knew it was always a cake on the table. Everyone knows about the double-chocolate bundt cake she would make. If you were looking for Rose, she was either in the kitchen or in her room watching one of her many shows. She touched many hearts with her love. laughter. kindness. or food. She made sure we knew God and how to pray. Above all, she _adored her grandchildren.

Rose was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by one sister and three children. five lovely granddaughters, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Rose's spirit will forever shine through the love she shared, and her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched.
