I met Rose in 1985 when I went to work for Warner Electric in Long Beach, Ca as the controller. Dick Warner, the owner, after introducing us, the following day asked me what I thought of Rose. I replied, "Isn't the real question, what does Rose think of me?". From then on, I knew that Rose was a real influence on everyone she met and through the years has been such a good friend to me, I truly am sorry for this loss. We did not get a chance to get together often but we both tried to make it at least once a year. My call this evening to arrange a dinner and a few drinks was, to say the least, not the news I intended to hear. Without too much, I will say that Rose played a bigger part in my life than either of us probably realized. She was one of those people who come into your life and however briefly, leave a footprint forever. May God grant her family peace and I will forever cherish my time with Rose and the opportunity I had to meet a truly remarkable woman. Thank you Rose for allowing me to be part of your life. God Bless.

Rose has been a friends since I became a member of St Timothy Lutheran Church. She made sure that I attended the Women of the ELCA where I ended up leading the Bible Studies. Then she insisted that I attend the Southwest California Synodical Women of the ELCA convention as a voting member. This started my long process through the SWO to follow in her footsteps and become the SWO President. Rose was a great person to work with and I learned a lot from her. Then it was my turn to gently suggest that Rose attend ELM, Equipping Leaders for Mission which is part of the Southwest California Synod's lay leadership training program. Rose attended the two years training and loved to attend the group luncheon. She used her training in our weekly Bible Studies at St. Timothy. Rose will be missed greatly. Always loved to hear her stories of family and friends. Goodbye Rose you are with your Heavenly Father now.
