We are deeply sorry to announce that Rose Marie Perreault died on October 30, 2025, at Piedmont Hospice House in North Carolina. Office of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 7, 2025, at St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church. The Very Reverend James Batcha will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church until the time of the Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. with a Panachada prior to the Liturgy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church or your local Humane Society.
Rose was born in Flint, Michigan on April 8, 1935, the daughter of Francis and Susan (Bilas) Sheofsky. She was a devout Byzantine Catholic and proud of her Carpathian Rusyn roots. Rose married Robert Perreault in August of 1968.
Rose spent most of her life in Flint and Flushing, Michigan. She had a successful career as a secretary due to her great organizational skills. Rose loved to tell stories about the year she spent working in NYC and her vacations to Hawaii. She was able to spend the last few years in North Carolina, where she loved the blue skies and warm weather.
Rose was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. She loved to spoil her cats (or any stay animal that came around!) Rose was also a die-hard MSU Spartan and Detroit Tigers fan. She loved to cook, read, do crosswords, knit, take trips to the mountains, shop, and of course, visit the casino. Her family all loved getting packages from her because of her beautiful giftwrapping skills.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Donna (Brian) Ostrowski; son, Matt (Danielle) Perreault; brother, David Sheofsky; her many grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Thank you to the amazing staff at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital and Hospice House of the Piedmont for taking such good care of her in her final days.
