Rose Marie Peterman, 93, of Conrad, passed Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from natural causes.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 13, at 2:00 PM at Pondera Valley Lutheran Church. A reception at the church will follow the burial. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.
Rose was born to William and Beatrice (Dunham) Brophy on June 2, 1932. She was raised in the Valier area, attending Wingina Rural School, Valier Public School, and graduating from Valier High School in 1950. Following graduation, she was employed by Montana Dakota Utilities and later at various secretarial and receptionist jobs, retiring in 1995 from Thomas H. Owen, DDS.
In 1953 she was united in marriage to Herbert Peterman in Granite Falls, MN and making their home in Conad. She was a member of Pondera Valley Lutheran Church, serving 6 years on the council and enjoyed their quilting days.
Her greatest joy was her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, hiking, flower gardening, and participating in the Governor’s Cup in Helena.
Survivors include daughter, Kathy (Dean) Gemar of Conrad; son, Jim (Barbara) Peterman of Fairfield; grandchildren, Lori (Bryan) Beniger of Helena, Amy (Casey) Copenhaver of Helena, Keith (Brandi) Gemar of Butte, Brian (Emily) Gemar of Helena, Dawson Peterman of Helena, and Hanna Peterman of Missoula; great grandchildren, Carly and Chloe Copenhaver, Carter and Presley Gemar, Brock Beniger, Blake and Easton Gemar; siblings, Beatrice Begley, Patricia Flinders, Marquerite Mains; numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Herb; her son, Kenneth; her parents; siblings, Helen Dupler, Jeanne Racine, Lucille Peterman, Jerry Brophy, Dorothy Wardner and Michael Brophy.
Memorials can be made to Pondera Valley Lutheran Church Building Fund.
