Rose Rometo

We are so sorry for your loss. What wonderful memories we have of Rose and Will! Derby visits, we stopped by PA a couple of times, visited them in New Orleans, and they came with the family to the beach in NC. Always a wonderful, love-filled time with Rose.

It's been many years since I have seen the Rometos but have great memories of our warm neighbors. I especially remember how i think I was the only girl that played football with Billy and the boys! My parents always had such high regard for Rose and Willie also. I think your old neighbors are always the best neighbors. Sympathy and Peace to you all.

My dad and I will forever be grateful for the friendship of Rose and Willie. Willie, my dad's college roommate, introduced my parents to each other at his wedding with my dad as his best man. Rose, literally a week younger than my mom, was one of her best friends. I still get teary-eyed when I recall them coming to my house and staying for 10 days to help with the flood of visitors as we cared for my mom here after getting a terminal diagnosis. She reminisced with my mom, cooked, cleaned and most importantly prayed. Visiting her was always a great joy and wonderful blessing. Be assured of our prayers.

Our sympathies to all 5 of you kids and your families. Arlene and Marlene, if I'm remembering correctly, your birthdays are coming soon. At this time, we celebrate and honor the precious mother who brought you into this world.
