Rose was amazing, in the short time I got to know her the laughs were constant. She sat with me until 1 am one night when my grandmother was not well. She made me laugh when I wanted to cry, spoke words of comfort, while she put people in check. I am forever grateful to have known her and that she was the person who walked me through that night, i could not have gotten through the night without her. Forever missed.

Besides my parents, Rose was my favorite person at Latta Rd nursing home. I was at the nursing home quite frequently to be w my parents and visited w Rose every visit. When my Dad passed away Rose snuck out of her room very late that night to come and I believed to check on us looked at me and said "are you ok". I heard a nurse say "Rose get back in your room" Then she got escorted back to her room and I walked the walk of shame w her back to her room and thanked her with a hug. When Covid hit, and the nursing home was on lockdown, I would go to her window and wave to her and blow her a kiss. She would blow one back. When the nursing home changed their keypad combination to get in, Rose would be sitting by the door and she would wave and get up to let me in. I would laugh and wave her off because of course she was not supposed to and the alarm would be going off but I never said how I got in. I snuck her chocolates and brought her flowers. I loved her. So did my sister. Our parents passed away and recently I just said to my sister, we should go to see if Rose is still at the nursing home, but sadly we did not. I only wish I knew Rose before the nursing home days. I would have hung out with her all the time. She was a very special woman to us and we loved her very much. Fly high Rosie. You brought us so much joy and laughs. Thank you for that and thank you for watching out for everyone.
You were the Mayor of the nursing home that's for sure.
My love and prayers to her family. You were all so lucky to have Rose.

I'll never forget that one Christmas when Rose was making the chestnuts in the oven as he goes hey Steve did you ever have your nuts roasted and that was the favorite line that we all laughed about for years
