Rose Valastro

Rose (DiDio) Valastro, 99, of Swampscott Massachusetts, passed away peacefully in her sleep on
December 30th, 2023. Rose was born on July 17th, 1924, to Firida and Antonio DiDio in
Swampscott. She worked for Phillips Lighting as a line worker for 45 years before retiring in
1989. She spent the last 9 years living in Gray, Maine on Little Sebago Lake., where she enjoyed
sitting by the water with her family. Rose was predeceased by her parents and 6 siblings, John
DiDio, Anna Fiory, Antoinette DiVito, Fioeurnello Didio, Lillian Doucette, and Grace
DeRobertis. Devoted mother to Cathy (Valastro) D'Entremont and her husband Neil of Gray,
ME. She leaves 3 grandchildren, Scott D'Entremont, Bryan D'Entremont and his wife Kristen,
and Cristy (D'Entremont) Ellis and her husband Neal, as well as 8 great-grandchildren, Paitan,
Nathaniel, Emma, Luke, Tyla, Cailyn, Dylan, and Avery. She is also survived by her two
nephews, Anthony (Sonny) Fiory and Thomas Fiory, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
There will be a private service held with her family per her request. In lieu of flowers, the family
asks any donations to be made to Ledgewood Manor Nursing Home, 200 Tandberg Trail,
Windham, ME 04062 via check for resident activities.
