SPRINGFIELD Roseann Teresa (Arrighi) Duncan, 79, a beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away due to a sudden illness on November 25, 2025, into the gentle care of her many awaiting Angels.
Roseann's life was guided by her unwavering caring, compassion, and service. After graduating from Technical High School and Peter Bent Brigham School of Nursing, she embarked on a remarkable nursing career spanning over three decades. Her tenure at esteemed institutions like Wesson Memorial Hospital, Baystate Medical Center, and the VNA was marked by exceptional standards of excellence and a profound sense of respect among her colleagues and patients.
Similarly, she dedicated her heart and commitment to her family life, bringing warmth and unwavering support to her children David Duncan of Springfield, Robert Duncan of W. Townsend, and Lisa Marie Leavitt of Southwick, beloved grandchildren Katherine Duncan of Burlington, VT, and Nicole & Marisa Leavitt of Southwick, and extended family.
She was predeceased by her parents Lorenzo & Teresa (Stallone) Arrighi and son-in-law Mark Leavitt.
Roseann will leave behind a legacy of love & compassion and her presence in the lives of her friends was cherished, all of which will be deeply missed.
Calling hours are Monday, December 1st, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Tazzini Funeral Home, 22 Locust Street in Springfield. Roseann's burial at St. Michael's Cemetery will be private.
