Roselle P. Sandvold

Roselle "Pauline" (Bitikofer) Sandvold passed away at the Lakewood Care Center on May 26, 2023 at the age of 84 years. She was born in Goessel, KS to Paul and Margaret Bitikofer on August 25, 1938. She graduated from Turner High School in Kansas City, and went on to Nurses' training at Bethany Hospital, also in Kansas City.
After graduation, Roselle married Milton Sandvold at the Argentine Mennonite Church in Kansas City. They were blessed with three children, Andrew, Ellen, and Arlene.
Roselle was a Registered Nurse. She worked in Kansas until Milton graduated from teacher's college. They moved to Graceton, MN in 1966, where they raised their family. Roselle worked at Trinity Hospital, and also worked as a Home Health Nurse for the county. After taking a few years off to raise her family, she returned to work at the hospital in Baudette, and eventually went to BSU for her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Roselle helped to teach the CNA class, and after retirement from the hospital volunteered as Parish Nurse.
Roselle was very involved at the Mennonite Church in Graceton, and later at the Pitt Community Church in Pitt, MN. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, VBS, and working with the music programs in the churches. She also served on the Board at the Christian School in Williams.
Roselle is survived by her siblings, Glenn Bitikofer, David (Irene) Bitikofer, Kathy (Willis) Stutzman, and Peggy (Richard) Bodam, and sister-in-law Connie Reineccius. She is also survived by her children, Andrew (Bev) Sandvold, Ellen Daniels, and Arlene Pierce, and grandchildren Hannah Sandvold, Will Sandvold, Jonathan (Camille) Daniels, James Daniels, Emily Daniels, and Joshua Daniels, Michael Pierce, and Alicia (Ryan) Lucken; and great grandchildren Edwin Stegall, and Samuel Lucken; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Sandvold, parents Paul and Margaret Bitikofer, and son-in-laws Patrick Daniels and Samuel Pierce; sister-in-law, Ruth Bitikofer; brother-in-law, Johnny Reineccius.
Services will be held at Pitt Community Church in Pitt, MN on Tuesday May 30, 2023 at 4:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial is at Graceton Cemetery following the service.
