Rosemarie "Duffer" Eidem, age 92, of Brooklyn Center, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024, into God's hands.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Church of St. Rita (8694 80th St. S.; Cottage Grove, MN) with a visitation one hour prior to the service from 10-11 AM. All are invited to a luncheon following the service. Private interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Rosemarie was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Earl and Evelyn Streeter. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School in 1949 and shortly after met her soon to be husband of 61 years on a blind date. Duffer spent much of her life working as a homemaker, but most enjoyed the time with her four children as well as her 14 grandchildren. When Duffer wasn’t busy caring for those around her, she enjoyed crafting, puzzles, romance novels, and cooking family famous dishes like banana bread and potato salad. She always put family, friends and even strangers first with so much love, kindness and generosity as their happiness was so important to her. Her huge heart was also shared with all of God's creatures especially her dog Maddoux. A special thank you to Gables staff at Norris Square Presbyterian Homes for all the love that was shared with her.
Rosemarie will be missed by her loving children, Douglas Eidem, Cheryl Huot, Mark (Kay) Eidem, Jodi (Ron) Lehmann; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and her special sister Kitty Streeter; and many other family and friends. Preceded in death by her husband Douglas; 5 siblings and daughter-in-law Jean Eidem.
As per Duffer's wish, all memorials will be given to the Humane Society
