Rosemarie Morris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Chandler Funeral Homes & Crematory - Hockessin on Sep. 23, 2025.
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosemarie Cavallo Morris, who passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025.

She was 90 years old and lived an active and healthy life. Rosemarie was kind, friendly, and thoughtful. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Rosemarie was born in 1935, in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of Rose and Donato Cavallo.

Rosemarie grew up in Brooklyn with her brother Joseph Cavallo. She graduated from St. Michaels High School. After her marriage to Bob, they enjoyed a life of travel and adventure living in Scarsdale, NY, Guaynabo, PR, Winchester MA, and finally settling in Hockessin, DE. She loved cruising and she and Bob went on over 30 cruises during their marriage. They were accompanied on many of these cruises by Patricia and Bill Morris. Despite losing her husband, she continued cruising with family and friends, culminating this past June when she took her family on an Alaskan cruise in celebration of her 90th birthday. Patricia Morris joined the family trip as Rosemarie's cabinmate.

Rosemarie was devoted to her Catholic faith and parish, St. Mary's of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church. She attended Mass daily and always enjoyed a cup of coffee or a meal afterwards with her many friends. She was active in multiple church groups including the Sages, Lazarus Ministry, Ladies Guild and served as Chairperson of the Travel Club. She was the recipient of the prestigious Bishop's Medallion of Merit award. She also was a Eucharistic Minister and a Red Hat Society member.

Rosemarie was predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 43 years, Robert (Bob) Morris; and brother Joseph Cavallo. Rosemarie and Bob were married in 1957 and had three children, Richard and Joanne of Sandy Hook, CT, Terri and Judi of Harrison City, PA, and Chris and Kirsten of Newark, DE; two grandsons, Nathan and Noah Morris; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her loving sisters-in-law, Patricia Morris and Mary Ann Cavallo.
