Rosemary Cantanese

1954 - 2026

Rosemary Catanese, 71, of Merrimack NH passed away on Thursday, March 26th, 2026 at her home after a period of declining health.

She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 24th, 1954 to the late Gus and Antonia (Spezzacatena) Catanese.

Rosemary worked for St Joseph’s hospital for 20 years, and most recently worked part time at Bloomingdale’s. In her spare time, she found joy in gardening, cooking for loved ones, shopping, and spending time with her granddaughters.

Along with her parents, she was pre-deceased by her three siblings, twin-sister Ann Trumel, sister, Patricia Butacavoli and her brother, Charles Catanese.

She is survived by her son, Michael Lewis; two granddaughters, Arianna and Sofia Lewis along with several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack NH on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026 from 8:30 – 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack at 10 AM followed by burial at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 West Hollis St, Nashua.
