Obituary of Rosemary Magee Cicchiello
Rosemary Magee Cicchiello
Rosemary Magee Cicchiello, 85, of Blue Bell, PA passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Rosemary was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 29, 1939, the daughter of the late Joseph and Catharine (Gleeson) Magee. She was a proud graduate from Saint Hubert Catholic High School and Chestnut Hill College.
On November 24, 1962, Rosemary married Frank N. Cicchiello at St. Cecilia Church. They lived briefly in Wyncote, PA, and then for many years in Plymouth Township, PA. In 2022, the couple moved to Normandy Farms in Blue Bell, PA.
Rosemary loved teaching children and was a dedicated educator. She taught at Woodrow Wilson High School, in Camden, NJ, and then in the Wissahickon, PA school district. For 24 years, she served at Visitation BVM School in Trooper, PA where she taught English and Social Studies to middle-school students. She immersed herself in Catholic education, graded countless essays, loved her students, and guided them as they graduated to high school.
Rosemary enjoyed music, playing violin through college and singing in her church choir for many years. She enjoyed reading and caught up with her books in the summer. Family was the center of her life and she enjoyed hosting large gatherings for her children, grandchildren, and extended relatives. Rosemary enjoyed travel, especially trips throughout Europe with her husband. She was very proud of her Irish heritage.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Frank Cicchiello; three sons, Joseph and his wife Donna, James and his wife Catherine, John and his wife Deborah; a brother, Joseph Magee and his wife Margaret; and seven grandchildren, D, Ryan, Margaret, Mary, Genevieve, Sean, and Emma.
In addition to her parents, Rosemary was preceded in death by her twin sister at birth in 1939, Catharine Magee.
