Rosemary E. DeLacey, 82, passed away on September 23, 2025. She was born on June 9, 1943 in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Rose played a key role in helping to design the Pembroke Meadows neighborhood in Virginia Beach and worked as a carrier for ADP. She was an avid fan of the Redskins, lover of soap operas, enjoyed thrift shopping, and had a lifelong passion for rescuing and adopting pets that came into her life. Rose was strong willed, very intelligent, and cared deeply for everyone she knew. She had such a kind, understanding, and forgiving soul.

She is survived by her children, Elizabeth White, Jennifer Credeur-DeLacey, and Richard DeLacey (Natalie); her grandchildren, Jordan Carter (Kyle), Michael White, Kelsey Credeur, Colby Credeur (Madison), Quinton Credeur, Michael DeLacey (Alyssa), Mackenna DeLacey, and Joshua DeLacey (Lanie); and her great-grandchildren, Cooper Kelly, Bailey Carter, Beckham Carter, Chandler Credeur, and Blake Carter.

She was welcomed into heaven by her beloved husband, Richard DeLacey, married for 55 years, her parents Gloria and Albin Maihes, her brother Lawrence Maihes, and her sister Lucille Parker.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held October 3rd at 4pm in Virginia Beach at Marian Manor. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness toward animals in her memory.
