We mournfully announce the passing of Rosemary Finelli, 79, of
Naples, Florida. Rosemary peacefully passed away during the early morning hours on Sunday, August 31, 2025, with her loving daughter Michelle by her side. Rosemary joins her husband Michael (October 2022) in Paradise.
Rosemary was born to Anna Noioso Colucci and Louis Colucci on January 10, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY. Rosemary has lived in Brooklyn and Staten Island, NY, as well as in Monroe, NJ. Rosemary, her husband of 57 years, and their family, spent the last 6 years as full-time residents in
Naples, Florida, where they enjoyed the beautiful beaches, excellent restaurants, and sharing good times with each other and friends.
Rosemary worked for the New York City Board of Education in many various administrative capacities for over 30 years. Rosemary was very involved with her children's schools and educations, serving a Parent Teacher Association member and President for many years. Rosemary was also very involved in her local Catholic Church, serving as Eucharistic Minister at Sunday Mass, teaching CCD classes to young children, and volunteering to support events.
Rosemary deeply loved and lived for her family. Her passion was to cook extra-large Italian Sunday dinners, hosting family and friends to sit around the table for hours enjoying great food, wine, and each other's company. She also loved music, especially her "oldies" where she could dance and have fun, as well as Italian music (especially Andrea Bocelli).
Rosemary is survived by her son Michael Gerard Finelli and his wife Amy, of Naples, as well as her daughter Michelle Marie Finelli Albergo and her husband Joseph, of Naples. She is also blessed to be survived by her 3 beautiful grandchildren Domenic (Boston), Gina (Naples), and Joseph (Naples), as well as by her brothers Louis and Anthony Colucci.
