Rosemary was a beloved home maker, wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Rose took in her oldest niece, Denise Black Feather, when she was just a baby and raised her up like her own, her and her husband Mickey Thunder Hawk. Rosemary and Mickey settled in Wheatland, Wyoming in the late 90's. It was in 2002 when they adopted Joshua and raised him. Rosemary loved to host the family gatherings and holiday dinners. In 2013, Rose and Mickey moved back home and settled out east of Porcupine. They lived there until the passing of her husband Mickey in 2021.
Rosemary is survived by her children, Denise Black Feather and Joshua Thunder Hawk; nieces, Valarie, Julie, Betty, Jody, Viola, Glenda, Natasha, Troylynn, Valeria, Rosemary and Gloria; nephews, Charles Iron Rope, Mitchell, Samuel, Larry Jr, Val Jr.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her mother, Julie Bird Head-High Hawk Kills Crow Indian; stepfather, Aloysius High Hawk Kills Crow Indian; brothers, Aloysius Jr, Larry Sr, Mitchell "Glenn" Sr, Val Sr; sister, Virginia Kills Crow Indian-Rodriguez, Helen Kills Crow Indian; nieces, Melody High Hawk, Rolanda High Hawk, Lori Kills Crow Indian, Harriet High Hawk, Andrette Spotted Elk; nephews, John High Hawk, Rufus High Hawk
Pallbearers will be Charles Jules High Hawk, Larry Two Bulls, Braxten Richards, Al Richards, Ashton Richards, Ronald Richards, Destiny Richards, Veronica Richards, Lisa Brave Heart, Mary High Hawk, Pejuta Never Misses A Shot, Heather Richards, Crystal Iron Rope-Shields, Darlene Iron Rope
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends and Relatives.
Wake Services: One night wake starting at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the Evergreen Community Building near Porcupine, SD, with evening services at 7:00 PM.
Native American Church Services: Devotional to follow evening prayer services
Officiating: All Prayer Leaders Welcome
Funeral Services: 12:00 PM, Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Evergreen Community Building near Porcupine, SD.
Burial Services: Native American Church Cemetery, Porcupine, SD
