Rosemary Kinkopf (nee Brennan), 79, passed away peacefully Sunday November 2nd surrounded by her loving family. She now resides with her loving Savior, free from any pain or suffering.
Rosemary was born August 17, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan. As the oldest of seven living children born to John Joseph (Jack) and Elizabeth (Bettie) Ann Brennan, Rosemary took on the role of "second mother" in caring for her siblings. It would prepare her for a life of caring for others.
At the tender age of 19, Rosemary married David Walczak in Cleveland Heights Ohio. They had two sons, David Walczak (wife Marla) and John Walczak. In 1980, Rosemary met Fred Kinkopf at a Parents Without Partners group meeting. They married that year and created a blended family of five boys into a home filled with love and boyish chaos. She considered it a special blessing to be stepmother to Jim, Jeff (wife Diane) and Rob (wife Breanna).
In addition to being a dedicated mother to her children, Rosemary loved her siblings Kathleen Pavlish (husband Jack), Jack Brennan (wife Carol), Kelly Brennan (wife Pam), Barb Abraham (husband Randy) and Marybeth Bryan (husband Bill). She thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all her family. She had a sweet spirit and a love of Christ that radiated in her actions and thoughtfulness.
Rosemary loved golf. She won her club championship six times and relished the chance to play any time she could. In her later years she began handcrafting macramé and sewn gifts to bless her many friends and family.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her father, John (Jack) Brennan in 1994; sister Ellen Painter in 2006; mother, Elizabeth (Bettie) Brennan in 2011; husband, Fred Kinkopf in 2011 and son, John Walczak in 2019.
She is survived by her four remaining sons and grandchildren Brooke and TJ Kinkopf (father Jim), Melissa and Samantha (father Jeff) Audrianna and Ryan Walczak (Father David), Nick and Josh Walczak (father John) and Ozzi Kinkopf (father Rob); and her great grandchildren Conner and Holden Walczak (father Josh). She loved them all deeply.
The family requests that any memorial remembrances be made to Cleveland Clinic Hospice Center for their devoted care of Rosemary in her final days.
In keeping with Rosemary's wishes, services for her will be private.
