Rosemary "Kitty" Kovach

Rosemary "Kitty" Kovach, 84, passed away on May 21, 2023, in Port Huron, Michigan, surrounded by her family.
Rosemary was born on September 3, 1938, in Highland Park, Michigan. She lived there until she was 15 years old and in 1953 she moved to the Blue Water Area with her parents after her father was transferred to work at C&O Car Ferry for railroad cars.
Rosemary married Frank G. Kovach in 1975 at their home and they were remarried at St. Joseph Catholic Church in 1999.
Rosemary attended Port Huron Junior College graduating with an honorary degree in science. She then went on to obtain a Registered Nurse License and was employed for many years at Port Huron Hospital in the operating and emergency rooms.
After retirement, Rosemary converted to Catholicism. She and Frank were remarried by Father Rene Demaris at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Huron, Michigan, where they both are faithful members. Rosemary loved her music collection and reading, especially history books, and she was proud of her St. Clair County Library, St. Clair County Council on Aging, and Barnes & Noble memberships. Rosemary's greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Rosemary is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years, Frank G Kovach; stepson, Frank K. (Karen) Kovach; daughters, Linda (Leon) Armstrong, Joan Wille and Mary Little; Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Mary Mohr, her son Scott Marks, daughter Kim Cope and her cherished grandson, Nicholas George Zgieb.
Friends and family will be received at Grace Memorial - Smith Chapel, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron, Michigan from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 am at Mt. Hope Catholic Cemetery with Deacon Dennis Crimmins officiating. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial-Smith Chapel.
