Rosemary Raftery (née: Eresh) passed away peacefully at home Saturday, February 7th, 2026. She was 85 years old. She was the daughter to Mary "Pat" (née: Petryszyn) and Frank Schleifstein. Wife to Thomas J. Raftery lll, mother to Patty Hanson, Grandmother to Cole Hanson and Maille Hanson. Sister to the late Louise J. (Ray) Thomas, the late Mother-In-Law, Loretta (née: McCarthy), and Father-In-Law, Tom Raftery Jr, Sister-in-law to Joan (the late Dick) Treu, Kathleen (the late Bill) McWeeney, Bob (Susie) Raftery. Aunt, Cousin and friend to, too many to list. She loved you all so very much.

Rosemary was a bakery manager at Bettendorf & Rapp Grocery Store (now known as Schnucks) at Hallsferry Circle.

Rosemary married the love of her life, Tom, together for 64 years. They raised their daughter Patty in Florissant, Missouri, where they were active in their Parish Sacred Heart. They filled their life with family and friends and enjoyed spending weekends at their place on the river. Rosemary was a Girl Scout leader and a Art Teacher amongst a million other things. Rosemary returned to the workforce as a Medical Assistant at Clark Clinic in Florissant where she worked for Doctor's Clark and Switzer until she retired.

She adored her grandchildren Cole and Maille, never missing a band concert, theatre production or sporting event. She loved to cook, and ask anyone, she was amazing! One of her favorite things to do was dancing. Music was her heart and a beloved part of her life. She also enjoyed her flowers and gardening.

She was a graduate of Riverview Gardens High School, and remained friends with her close friends throughout her life.

Footprints were made on her heart by the late Bitzy and her new puppy Missy.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers please consider donations to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
