Rosemary Williams, 82, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
Rosie was born to the late Paul and Pauline (Frame) Williams of Richwood, West Virginia. Born in Akron, Ohio at Akron City Hospital where she later spent many years as a devoted employee. She grew up in Portage Lakes and graduated from Coventry High School in 1962, where she enjoyed playing in the band. She was a dedicated Labor and Delivery secretary for over 40 years, retiring in 2016. She made many lifelong friends at Summa, and always said she was grateful she never had to deliver a baby in the waiting room. She enjoyed hiking in the Metro Parks, playing card games with friends, and had a great love for dogs! She dedicated most of her life to caring for her son and granddaughter, which brought her much purpose and joy. She was always planning family gatherings, and loved going on adventures with no idea of the destination, always just enjoying the ride. Later in life, nothing brought her more happiness than spending time with her great grandchildren. Rosie will always be remembered as a joyful, strong willed and independent woman, who made her family proud.
Rosie is survived by her beloved son, Rob Williams & wife Sherrie of Green, her granddaughter JJ (Jaqulyn) Eisenberger & husband Brian of Silver Lake, and great grandchildren Carter and Madelyn. She is also survived by her eldest sister Betty Sokol, along with many loving nephews and niece.
She is proceeded in death by her sisters, Billie Beth Williams, Jean Sibit and Charlie Richards, who are together again in Heaven.
Family and friends are invited to visit for Rosie's Memorial at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305) on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 10am until 12pm. Rosie’s final resting place will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Akron, OH, next to her beloved family.
