Rosie Archuleta

Rosie Archuleta, age 69, a resident of Guadalupita, NM passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. She was born on June 18, 1952 to the late John Vigil and her surviving mother Bennie Martinez in Guadalupita, NM.
She was a life-long Catholic and a member of St. Gertrude Church in Mora, NM, She worked many different jobs during her life. She worked at an early age for the Dept. of Labor and for the Dept. of Human Service, was a bus driver, worked in Denver and Leadville, Colorado for a while, and later worked for The Behavioral Hospital and for Angel Fire Resort.
She enjoyed singing, cooking, watching movies, decorating her home, gambling, praying, listening to the rosary, going to church, listening to music, and spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father John Vigil, sister Lorraine Vigil, and nephew Charles Vigil and niece Angela Archuleta. Brother in Law: David Archuleta, Uncles: Alfonso Vigil, Orlando Vigil, Anthony Martinez, Frank Martinez, Louie Martinez, Cousins Barbara and Judy Vigil, Jimmy Vigil, Maternal Grandparents Frank and Louisa Martinez, and Paternal Grandparents Juan and Asencion Vigil.
She is survived by her husband: Bengie Archuleta of the family home, sons and daughter: Melvin Vigil of Las Vegas, Andrew Archuleta (Annette), Kayla Archuleta all of Guadalupita, NM; grandchildren: Isaac, Alyssa, and Crystal Rose Archuleta, Mother: Bennie Vigil; brothers and sisters: Floyd Vigil, Paul Vigil (Donna), Michael Vigil, Gloria Rodriguez (Felix), Beatrice Regensberg (Leslie), Marcia Vigil all of Guadalupita, NM, Gena Vigil (Sam) of Holman, NM; brothers-in-law: Jessie Archuleta (Connie), Pancho Archuleta, all of Las Vegas, NM, Tommy Archuleta (Diana) of Santa Rosa, NM, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Rosary service will be recited at 7:00 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at St. Gertrude Church in Mora, New Mexico. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Gertrude Church with Father Jim Mulligan as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at the Vigil Family Cemetery with the following serving as Pallbearers, Amrick Vasquez, Isaac Archuleta, Bengie Vigil, Diego Chavez, Cruz Chavez, and Jessie Gold Jr. Honorary bearers will be Curtis Vasquez, John Gonzales, Paul Vigil Jr., Jonathan Vigil, John JJ Vasquez, Todd and Brandon Regensberg.
