Ross A. Matthies, age 59, a Manitowoc resident, passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
He was born June 25, 1962 in Chilton, Wisconsin, son of David Matthies and the late Eva (Winkel) Matthies. Ross attended Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1980. He was a hard worker, holding various jobs over the years. Most recently, Ross was employed at Parker Hannifin. He was an avid outdoorsman who was especially passionate about fishing. Ross also loved being up north.
Ross is survived by his father: David Matthies; one sister: Kim Lango; one niece: Kristen Lango; his significant other: Tina Klabunde; and his furry friend: Maggie Mae. Aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his mother: Eva Matthies as well as other relatives and friends.
Cremation has occurred at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Crematory and a celebration of his life will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at Cabin 1 in Lincoln Park, Manitowoc. Per his wishes, Pizza Garden will be supplied to those who attend.
