Roxane E. Bahe, age 70, of Belgrade, died Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Bethesda in Willmar. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Belgrade. www.hafh.org
Roxane Evangeline Bahe was born on March 11, 1955, in Willmar, to Earnest and Dorothy (Zilmer) Bahe. She grew up in Belgrade and attended Belgrade High School before venturing out on her own to Los Angeles, California, at the age of 17. Her time there was brief, and she was eventually brought back to Minnesota by her brother Dean, at the request of her mother. She later raised two daughters, Chris and Tosha in the Belgrade area.
Throughout her life, she held many different jobs that reflected her colorful and spirited personality, including waitressing, bartending, a short-lived stint in mud wrestling, and working as a certified nursing assistant.
In 1994, she met her companion Jeff Olson, with whom she shared many years together until his passing on September 8, 2009.
She will be fondly remembered for her quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and a free-spirited zest for life. A talented cook, she loved collecting Emmett Kelly clown figurines, reading, canning vegetables from her garden, and cleaning to the music of Loretta Lynn and Crystal Gayle on Saturday mornings. She deeply valued her time with family and friends.
In her final years, her most loyal companion was her beloved Bichon Frise, Honey. The two were inseparable, sharing everything and finding comfort in one another's constant company.
She is survived by her daughters, Chris (Dave) Hagan and Tosha Vincent both of Shepherdsville, KY; grandchildren: Jayse Cornelius, Ava Mueller, Dylan Vincent, and David Hagan; and siblings: Dean (Teresa) Bahe, Paulette Bahe, Brenda (Tom) Wold, and Brian (Colleen) Bahe. She was preceded in death by her parents and her eldest sister, Gwen Robinson.
