Roxanne Duink Obituary

Roxanne E. Duink (Roxy), 75, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2024. She was born May 22, 1949 in Jamestown, NY to Russell and Laura Mae (McCorkle) Duink.

While she was in elementary school she moved with her family to Tampa, FL where she grew up. She graduated from Tampa Hillsborough High School and University of South Florida. She later lived in Dunnellon, FL where she worked in the Citrus County School system from which she retired after several years. She was a member of Seven Rivers Presbyterian Church in Lecanto, FL.

She was a fan of Country music and a lover of all animals from her tiny Chihuahuas to buffalos. Her chief entertainment was watching Animal Planet along with doing puzzles. As an established cook, professionally as well as at home, her specialty was pies.

She is survived by her son Chase in Dunnellon, FL, brother Scott (Susan) in Sarasota, FL, her brother Douglas (Susan) in Tampa, FL, her sister Charlene Simms in Columbia, SC, and her brother Torrey (Donna) in New Port Richey, FL. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at Shandon Baptist Church, Columbia, SC on September 20, 2024 at 10 AM.
