Roxanne Lowit

I have very fond memories of Roxanne Lowit , the legendary Photographer, I first met Roxanne at the Box in New York city on the lower east side , it was June 16 2011. her and i cross path on that night and both of us were playing our parts in the game of life , feeling of a magical moment occurring, i pressed the camera shutter button, I am recording from my camera , " Untold " is filmed and edited , a few years later Back in 2015 i sent her the link via email of the short cinematic essay . Link https://vimeo.com/92698320, that was the beginning of our friendship from artist to artist , we met and after that moment her and i spent time together and i started documenting. we went together to restaurant and Night club in New York city and to her home upstate NY .

I knew Roxanne when she lived in Babylon in the early 1960's. She had this infectious energy about design fabrics and fashion. As a teen she had a dream that she brought to life.... and kept it alive for a lifetime. Brava Roxanne.

Such great insight and vision into photography and what people really wanted to see. Definitely a trendsetter, an awesomely talented photographer. My condolences to the Lowit family and friends, truly sorry for your loss. May God be with you all.
