Roy J. Cheramie, 84, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano passed away on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025.
Mr. Roy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years: Paulette; sons: Dean and Chris; daughter: Denise; grandchildren: Gunnar, Matthew, Amber, and almost grandson Luke Heatherly; brother: Labray Cheramie; sister: Lola Cheramie Crochet; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Mr. Cheramie was preceded in death by daughter in law: Kristy Griffin Cheramie; parents: Vories and Lucretia G. Cheramie; brother: Linwood Cheramie; and sisters: Pearl Cheramie Orgeron, and Willa Dene Cheramie Comeaux Blair; and several nieces and nephews.
He loved playing all kind of sports especially golf, going hunting and fishing, playing cards and going gambling. Mr. Roy never met a stranger and left a mark on the lives of all his family and friends; they will greatly miss the times spent with him and stories he lived with them.
Private services will be held at a later date.
