Roy Clanton Obituary
He was born on September 1, 1941, in the Boaz area.
Roy worked faithfully for the City of Boaz for many years until his retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed relaxing and watching classic Western movies.
He is survived by his adopted children, Crystal Clanton Bolt (Nathan) and John Jeffery Clanton; grandson, Alexander Bolt; brother and sisters, Delmus Clanton (Georgia), Jean Cooper, and Linda Dunn (Jerry), all from Boaz, Alabama; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Nettie Clanton; brothers, James Clanton and Marston Clanton; and sisters, Nellie Ruth Carroll and Ann Batson.
Graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 30, at Union Cemetery on Doubles Bridges Road in Boaz. Adams Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
