Roy J. "Junior" Clem

Roy Jackon Clem "Junior," 84, of Woodstock passed away Friday December 12, 2025, at Life Care Center, of New Market after battling several health issues.

Mr. Clem, son of the late Roy Sidney Clem and Bessie May Wine Clem, was born on January 16, 1941, at home in St. Luke, west of Woodstock. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Elbon Clem on March 6, 2014.

Roy worked at Chemstone in Strasburg, FMC in Woodstock, but most of his working years were at Borden's Auto Sales in Woodstock.

He loved the outdoors and was always outside doing something from cutting wood to working in his huge garden. He was an excellent mechanic and handyman. Being very creative, he made lots of things like tools he needed and decorative items. His favorite hobby was hunting, and it brought him great joy to share his passion for hunting with his grandson, Dexter.

Mr. Clem is survived by his daughter, Lisa Clem Richman and husband, Gary, who he thought of like a son; his grandson, side kick, and hunting partner, Dexter Richman and his wife, Kasey; his adored great-grandsons, Myles and Bennett; his devoted sister, Mabel Orndorff; his niece, Norma Morrison; nephew, Daryl Orndorff and wife, Sarah.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Clem; sister, Mary Dellinger; niece, Betty Rinker; and nephew, Roger Clem.

The family will receive friends at Heishman Funeral Service in Woodstock, Monday December 22, 2025, from 6-8pm. Out of respect for Roy's wishes there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, The Woodstock Rescue Squad, or Blue Ridge Hospice.
