Roy Crane Obituary
August 5, 1960 - July 26, 2025
Roy Samuel Crane, Jr., 64 of Jeffersonton, VA passed away on July 26, 2025 at Culpeper Hospital.
He was born on August 5, 1960 in Warrenton, VA a son of the late Roy Samuel Crane, Sr. and Carol Ann Seale Crane. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Miller Crane.
Roy graduated from Fauquier High School in 1979 and worked for 42 years for the William A. Hazel Company. He was a member for 50 years of the Warrenton Volunteer Fire Company starting at age 14 as a Junior Fireman, later becoming Vice President. He was a longtime member and officer of the National Wild Turkey Federation and also donated his time and efforts to Hunters for the Hungry.
He is survived by his three daughters, Tabitha (Christopher) Frazier, Jessica Oakes and Samantha Crane; his sisters, Deborah (Larry) Brown, Vicky (Tommy) Noland and Pamela (Jerry) Napier; his grandchildren, Joseph Frazier, Kaydence Minor, Elaina Oakes, Grayson Oakes and Layla Williams; his partner, Melanie Cooper and her daughter, Kelsey (Justin) Ross and granddaughter Addison Ross. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Tom (Lindsey) Noland, Travis (Christy) Noland, Michael Brown, Patrick Napier, Danielle Napier, and multiple great nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on Sunday, August 3 from 3-5 & 7-9 PM at Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton where funeral services were held on Monday, August 4 at 10:00 AM. Interment followed at Bright View Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Warrenton Volunteer Fire Company or to Little Fork Volunteer Fire Company.
