Funeral service to celebrate the life of Roy Rodney Fields, 84, of Anniston, will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with Young Hyun Kim officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Fields passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at RMC with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Dorothy Fields.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Kim Yong Sun - Fields; his daughters, Yong Hui Hansen (Ryan) and Susan Lee Hill (Mark); grandchildren, Christoper Hansen, Dean Hansen, Nora Hansen and Jay Hansen; great grandchildren, Aubrey Hansen, Zowie Hansen, Faith Hansen, Owen Hansen, and Ava Hansen; his siblings, Donna Tackett, Carol Fields, Freda Caplinger, Donald Fields; and many nieces and nephews.
Roy was a Church of Christ minister starting in 1958. He joined the military and served his country in the United States Army for 22 years until his retirement. After retiring from the military, he returned to preaching in 1982 preaching in Oklahoma at the Purcell Church of Christ. He was a country music fan and enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash. In his spare time, he enjoyed taking pictures, reading, and watching western films. He was musically inclined and played the guitar. Roy was a devoted husband and father and will forever be remembered by his sense of humor and his love for Christ.

So sorry to hear this. Praying for his family, but thankful for God´s promises. Brother Fields was a faithful Christian and a hard worker for Christ. He will be missed.
