When I think of my childhood there are a few very important, standout pieces of our life on Sacramento Street in the 60s and 70s. The biggest part of that life included some wonderful people and the Fords were at the top of the list.
I have so many happy memories of playing with Tim and Cindy and other neighborhood kids. Audrey and Roy were always open and welcoming to us all, even when we ate all their cookies. I remember Roy most of all for his goofy sense of humor and his silly songs like Pardon me Roy (is that the cat who chewed your new shoes). He called me Marine Jannino my whole life and it took several years (sadly until I was about seven) to realize that he was teasing. For a long time I thought he didn´t really remember me from one visit to the next.
From camping and learning to water ski in the Rubber Duck to his epic Christmas decorations and horror movie level Halloween makeup, Roy made every occasion joyful and special. He will truly be missed and never forgotten.
My love to his family and especially to Tim, Cindy, and Chris.

We will always have such happy memories of our uncle at the cabin in lake county and especially at Thanksgiving. He always carved the first turkey.

We have so many wonderful memories of Roy and all the. Ford family.....picnics,parties and card games. Roy was always fun from his crazy handshakes and name twisters. Our family will not forget "Uncle Roy". It is comforting to know that Roy and Audrey and Kathy are together again. Tony and Yvonne Parrino

I was a close friend with Kathy so I spent a lot of time at the Fords home! Mr. Ford always had stories to share and songs to sing. My favorite was,"I'm My Own Grandpa."I laughed every time he sang it.

While growing up, I lived on Ohio Street across the street from Roy and Audrey. I so remember Roy and his neighbor and good friend, Nick, throwing the football to one another in the middle of Ohio Street. There wasn't a nicer man than Roy. He was a true gentleman. I also remember attending Roy and Audrey's wedding. I was only eight but I remember how in love and happy they were that day. I can still see them. Carol Kilby

I never remember a time being with my uncle Roy that he didn't make me laugh. His precious, intoxicating smile will forever be in my heart. He was loved by many, but certainly by me.
We will be in Utah with our family during his service and send much healing Love and Light to you all.
