Roy Furney, 66, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away at his home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
A private graveside service will be held.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Baker Funeral Home.
Mr. Furney was born on September 4, 1959, in Pavo, Georgia. He was the son of the late Charles Furney and Shirley Whittington. He loved fishing and spending time with family. He was a hardworking man of many professions. He was also known as Uncle Roy and Granddaddy to many.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, David Furney and Tommy Furney, and his sister, Charlotte Furney.
Mr. Furney is survived by his wife, Rebecca “Becky” Johnson Furney; son Bryan Furney and wife Linda of Moultrie; daughter, Jennifer Stanford and husband Troy of Ray City; brother, Roger Furney and wife Vicki of Anderson City; grandchildren, David Furney and wife Brandi, Rebecca Williams, Trent Cooper, Alex Furney, Doug Stanford and wife McKenna, Freddy Flores, Manuel Flores, Daphne Stanford, Danielle Stanford; great-grandchildren, Georgia Williams, Ozzy Furney, Micah Stanford, Josie Williams, Rosey Lee Furney, and Wes Stanford; numerous aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
