Roy Edward Gilbert

Roy Edward Gilbert, 81, of Missouri City, Texas passed away on May 20, 2025 at his home. He was born on November 26, 1943 in Weatherford, Texas to Ira E. and Phelba (McKinney) Gilbert. Roy was a member of Sugar Land Baptist Church, Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and the Woodworkers Club of Houston. This loving husband, father, uncle and friend will be missed.
In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by his sister, Phelba Ala Wecas.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sandra (Foddrell) Gilbert; daughter, Meredith Gilbert; nephews and nieces, Devon Hull, David Lieske, Aaron Wecas and Amy Baehr and their families.
A Celebration of Life will be held later in the summer.
