Roy McGhee Obituary
Mr. Roy Alton McGhee, age 84 of Claymour, passed away on Sunday, March 8th at Baptist Health Deaconess in Madisonville, Kentucky.
Roy was born on August 16, 1941 in Todd County, Kentucky son of the late Lenard McGhee and Beatrice Slaughter McGhee.
He was a member of the Shepherds House of Praise and Deliverance in Elkton. He loved his family and enjoyed farming, carpentry, hunting and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce McGhee; three brothers, Adie McGhee, Richard McGhee and Arvil McGhee and one sister, Laurine Cox. He is survived by a son, Lester McGhee of Elkton; a brother, Ben McGhee of Elkton; a sister, Reva Latham of Elkton; a grandson, John McGhee (Katie) and a great grandson, John Woodford McGhee.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 12th from 5:00 until 7:00 at the Todd County Funeral Home. Funeral service is scheduled to be conducted on Friday, March 13th at 1:00 in the Rose Chapel of the Todd County Funeral Home with Lana Shoulders officiating. Interment will follow at the New Cedar Grove Cemetery.
