Roy Perfetti, age 83, of Coffeen, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at 9:36 PM at Carlinville Lakeside Nursing Center.
A Private family service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, with burial in Olive Hill Cemetery in Coffeen.
Mr. Perfetti was born the son of the late Ciro and Fannie (Romani) Perfetti on November 11, 1941, in Hillsboro, Illinois.
Roy worked for the Coffeen Power Plant for several years. He was employed with CIPS, and they later merged with Ameran, which he retired from. Roy was also a 45+ year member of the Rocky Ford Park Inc.
His loyalty extended to his love, Frieda Jones, whom he married on July 30, 1965, at the house of Raymond Huber in Coffeen, Illinois.
Roy was a family man who deeply enjoyed the presence of his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was known as an amazing cook by his loved ones, never wanting to miss a meal that he had prepared. Roy fed his family through the sports of fishing and hunting, and prepared many delicious meals with different game, such as squirrels, rabbits, and any fish he was able to lure in.
Mr. Perfetti is survived by his beloved wife, Frieda; sons Don Perfetti of Greenville and Paul (Claire Hamblin) Perfetti of Coffeen; grandchildren, Isaak "Ike" (Elizabeth Yeager) Perfetti, Cy (Kari Hake) Perfetti, Kaela (Cody) Payne, Anthony (Fiancée Madeline May) Perfetti; and great-grandchildren, Charolette "Charli", Lillian "Lilli", Oakley "Oak", Kip, Navy and Ryman; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
