Thinking about it, in all the time I ever spent with Roy he was always upbeat and positive. Never down and negative.
And, he never ran out of things to talk about. Along this line I can picture him telling God all about 1910 Delaware ceramic black and white license plates, and visiting all the counties in North Dakota.
He was unique, and, he was born to teach.
By the way, there are 53 counties in North Dakota.
Thank you Roy.
Thank you...

Roy's curiosity was one of the best parts of him. Roy asked questions and sought the answers. He often looked beyond the facade to the foundation of a place, a concept, or a person.
His quiet way was his strength. He didn't need the fanfare, just time to get to know people and places he visited. After returning from his many trips he shared what he had seen and things about the folks he met. Often with a little smile or a big one, once you were hooked on his story.
We share then loss Roy has left in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
