Roy Allen Rich, age 78, passed away peacefully on January 2nd, 2025, at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born on December 2nd, 1946 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of the late Wallace Franklin and Onita Hudson Rich. Roy lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and service.

Roy was a graduate of Central High School's Class of 1964 and enjoyed meeting his classmates every week for breakfast.

A man of deep conviction and unwavering dedication, Roy earned a Master of Science from Memphis State University, a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education from Central Bible College, a Master of Arts from Assemblies of God Graduate School, and received a Certificate of Appreciation from the U.S. Medical Center for his impactful work with inmates. His commitment to education, ministry, and serving others left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. 

Roy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Brenda Rich, and his son, Gregory Rich. He is survived by his granddaughters, Victoria Austin of Kalispell, Montana and Julia Rich of Phoenix, Arizona; cherished great-grandchildren, Dawson Courtney and Everleigh Baker; sister, Rita Rich West of Memphis, Tennessee; uncle, Tommy Rich (Judy); nephew, Bradley West; niece, Jennifer West Burress; great nephews, Mason Burress and Samuel Burress; brother in law, Stacy Phillips; and many 1st cousins.

He was a man who spoke when it truly mattered. Roy loved his family fiercely, adored his wife deeply, and carried an unshakable faith in God that he shared generously with those around him.

The funeral service will be held at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, Tennessee on January 18th at 11:00 AM to honor and celebrate Roy’s remarkable life. He will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of his family and friends.
