Roy Ruppert Obituary

Published by Legacy on Jan. 4, 2025.
Roy D. Ruppert Jr., 52, of York, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Roy was born on December 2, 1972, in York, and was preceded in death by his father, Roy David Ruppert Sr. He was the beloved husband of Stacy A. Ruppert, and a devoted father to his son, Bryan Roy Kress.
Roy is also survived by his mother and stepfather, William and Wanda Myers, his sister and brother-in-law, Robert and Tracy Schrum, and his cherished niece, Elsie Gabbard. He will be greatly missed by his grandfather, Russel S. Moody Jr., and by all who knew and loved him.
Roy lived a full life of kindness, love, and selflessness. He worked in the construction industry for much of his life and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. When not working, Roy could often be found spending time with his family, working on cars, or fishing-hobbies that brought him great joy. He was a dedicated member of several dart leagues throughout the years, and he touched many lives with his warmth and generosity.
A loving, caring, and supportive presence to all who knew him, Roy offered assistance to anyone in need. His legacy is one of kindness, hard work, and an unwavering love for his family.
A service to celebrate Roy's life will be held on January 11, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Mt. Airy Church of God, 2020 Pine Town Road, Wellsville, PA 17365. A luncheon will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Mt. Airy Church of God or to Ronald McDonald House Charities, two causes that were dear to Roy's heart.
Roy will forever be remembered for the love he gave and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him
