Roy Shook Obituary

Roy Arthur Shook, Jr. of Coventry, CT passed away on October 15, 2025. Roy was born February 26, 1940 in Bangor PA. He was the son of the late Roy A. Shook, Sr. and Sarah (Parsons) Shook. Roy is survived by his wife Orian (Handelong) Shook, his daughters, Laura Barnett and husband David, and Shelly Seymour and husband Ronald. Roy is also survived by his grandchildren Joshua Barnett, Sarah Barnett, Ian Seymour, Roan Seymour, Fiona Seymour, Kiera Seymour and his great grandchildren, Jace and Mia Rivera and his sister Nancy Savercool. In addition to his parents, Roy was predeceased by his brother, Dennis Shook. Care of private funeral services have been entrusted to the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home of Manchester, CT.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to The Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinson.org.
Roy's family would also like to express their gratitude to the staff at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation for their compassionate care of Roy while he was in their care.

Extremely sad to read that my cousin Roy has passed away. Always enjoyed conversations with him and memories of when we were kids. My thoughts and prayers go out to Orian, Laura and Shelly. He will be missed but never forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.
