Dear Stromberg Family:
It saddens me deeply to hear of the passing of Chief Roy Stromberg. Our paths crossed many times in the course of our separate careers in the Air Guard. He was always very knowledgeable and helpful and a good guy to be around. It was a pleasure to have served with him.
Sincere condolences, Bill Norbury

I was privileged to have spent almost all my career both in Ops and Maintenance working with Fix. As a young nav, I would hang around Avionics in P13 trying to learn from Roy the ins and outs of our radar, doppler, radio altimeter, SCNS, and other systems. He was a good teacher, always humble and very willing to share knowledge, guitar music, stories and a lot of laughter. It was especially good to work with him in Maintenance as he moved from fixing things to leading people. I will miss his hoarse laugh, his friendship and his ability to McGuyver broken things back to usefulness. We lost a good man, and I am proud to have served so long with him.

I have known Roy since we were four years old, as neighbors and friends up through High School. We reconnected in 2009 in Facebook. I remember Roy's laugh, the twinkle in his eyes. He was a good friend. My deepest sympathies to his sons, granddaughter, his sisters Lynda Dooley and Nancy Hannah and their families. Roy, may you Rest in Peace, and Rise in Glory!
