In Loving Memory of William Royce Pyron, Sr.
Born: June 14, 1953, in the quaint town of Lemesa, TX.
Passed Away: Sunday October 1, 2023
Royce Pyron, a dedicated and loving father, leaves behind a legacy of family, laughter, and unwavering support. He is survived by his children, William Royce Pyron, Jr. (Andrea) and Paula Jean Pyron-Wheatley, as well as eight cherished grandchildren: Dr. Hannah Beckley, Shawn Pyron, Kelsey Watson (Neil), Paige Wheatley, Toni Goodlett (Nick), Faith Wheatley, Hannah Wheatley, and Wyatt Wheatley and six rambunctious great grandchildren.
Royce was not just a loving father but also a caring brother to Marvin Ramsey, Norman Pyron, and Margaret Pence. His journey led him approximately 1,164 miles from Texas to Kentucky as a teenager, where he followed his big brother, Norman "Shorty," for a medical stem cell research program aimed at helping his brother walk again after an auto accident.
Throughout his life, Royce held various jobs in construction and mechanics, but he ultimately found his calling with a remarkable 41-year career at Steel Technologies in Eminence, KY, where he was affectionately known as "Roscoe." Royce was not only dedicated to his work but also to his community, serving as a volunteer firefighter and EMS member in Eminence for many years.
His faith was unwavering, and Royce was a devoted follower of Christ in the Pentecostal churches throughout the communities he called home. He will be fondly remembered for his silly sense of humor and "Bad Dad Jokes," always bringing laughter to those around him.
Royce was the pillar of support that everyone could count on in their time of need, offering assistance without hesitation. He touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.
After retiring, Royce found happiness in Nicholasville, KY, where he shared a beautiful life with his partner, Larea Corman, along with his loyal dog, Gretchen.
Royce Pyron was preceded in death by his parents, Pauline and Alvin Pyron, and his brother Norman Pyron and his beloved grandchildren Jacob and Carissa Wheatley.
As we gather to remember and celebrate Royce's life, let us hold onto the cherished moments and the love he shared with all of us. His spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
