Royce Marie (Culbertson) Tornblom, age 80, passed away May 1, 2024 in Council Bluffs, IA.
She was born on September 6, 1943 in Pottawattamie County, IA to John and Doris (Cary) Culbertson. She grew up on a farm near Grant, IA and attended elementary school in Grant. She attended High School in Griswold and graduated in 1961. That's where she met Floyd Tornblom, the love of her life. After high school, she attended CE secretarial school in Omaha. She and Floyd were married on September 1, 1962, and to this union 3 children were born: Paul, Ellen and Michael.
Royce loved her family, the Lord and her church, Westminster Presbyterian, where she was the church secretary for over 40 years. She had such a generous spirit and was always willing to help anyone in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother; infant grandchildren; and brothers-in-law, Dean Paradies, Wayne Ireland, Glenn Taylor, and Jesse Cozad.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Tornblom; children, Paul, Ellen and Michael (Nichole); 4 grandchildren, Sunshine, Tanner, Lillie; and Laeken; a sister, Janet Taylor; in-laws, Judy (Tony) Gray, Chuck Tornblom, Patty Cozad; and David Tornblom; many nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Saturday, May 4, 2024. Interment is in Oaklawn Cemetery in Oakland, IA. The family will direct memorials.
