Ruben Hernandez Rodriguez Sr.

Ruben H. Rodriguez, Sr. went to rest Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Born in San Antonio, TX June 3, 1929, Ruben attended Lanier High School from 1943 – 1947, he served his country in the United States Air Force as a bilingual radio instructor to foreign Latin American military. Discharged in 1952, he went to San Antonio Community College earning an Associates in the Arts in 1957, and went on to have a 35 year career in printing. He is survived by his wife, Consuelo Aguirre Rodriguez, children David, Rene, Cindy, Ross, Robert John, Raquel and Ruben Jr. Grandchildren, David Jr., Susannah; Seth, Josh, Sarah; Jason, Nicolas, Patrick; Myrella, Catolina; Roxanne, B.J., Stevie, Nathaniel, Faith, C.J.; Megan, Monique, Mikolai, Madison, Emerson; great-grandchildren Jonathon, Mathew; Elyissa. He often said that regardless of what happens the sun will rise tomorrow, and although he has passed, as long as we can remember, as long as we can feel, he will always be here. Always.
