Ruben Ruiz, 63, of Forest, MS, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS, surrounded by loving family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest, with the funeral service following at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. There will be no graveside services.
Mr. Ruiz was born on September 27, 1962, in Habana, Cuba, to Mr. Narciso Ruiz and Mrs. Alicia Calero Ruiz. He moved from Miami, FL, to Forest in 1995, where he went on to establish Ruben Ruiz Trucking Company, which he has proudly and successfully operated with his wife and family ever since.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Narciso Ruiz Calero. He is survived by his loving wife and life partner, Mrs. Belsy Morales Ruiz; five children, Ruben Jonathan Ruiz, Davis Soto (Belinda), Eileen Adcox (Marty), Xuedy Jimenez (Tony), and Yesdadsi Ruiz; one sister, Julia Ruiz; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. His family and community will miss him dearly and will forever cherish the memories they shared.
