Ruby Lee Allen, age 83, of Dahlonega GA, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 8th, 2024, after a courageous battle with dementia. Mrs. Allen was born November 11, 1940, in Clinton SC, to the late Benie Floyd and Janie Eaton. Ruby was a hard worker, a trait she passed down to each of her children. She loved collecting dolls, coffee, gospel music, cleaning house, and making others laugh. She loved her family and friends and will be missed deeply by all.
She is survived by husband of 55 years, Charles (Jr.) Allen; brother, Russell Eaton; son, David (Caryn) Burton; daughter, Vickie (Richard) Major; daughter, Tavia (Gerald) Knowles; son, Stevie (Babbi) Allen; daughter, Anita (Jim) Beasley. She also leaves behind several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 11th, 2024, at 2:00 PM, in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Nathaniel Rodgers officiating. The interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday, February 10th, 2024, from the hours of 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM, and again on Sunday, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
